🚶‍♀️The trapezius muscle is a common source of dysfunction for many. The upper “trap” specifically becomes overactive and can fell stiff or tight leading to upper back and neck pain. This is often due to poor posture, improper breathing, and/or stress.

🔑Chiropractic care to improve the function of the body combined with therapies such as trigger point can help decrease muscle stiffness.

The present study showed that a 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 session of compression trigger point therapy can be used to 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 the stiffness of the upper trapezius among professional basketball players.” -Journal of Human Kinetics
